I'm an aspiring mountain climber who's first climb was Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. I voluntarily decided to do the expedition with a friend of my Father's with no previous climbing experience; the highest altitude I had been prior to the trip was 7,000ft, I had never been out of the country, and I was flying solo.
Overall the trip was a great experience, I feel like it has enlightened me. The guide, Laurie Skreslet, who was the first Canadian to climb Mt. Everest was impressed with my work on the mountain and offered me a winter job; to come back to Argentina with him, and help him guide groups up Aconcagua.
I realized when I returned from Argentina that I wanted to work within nature. I also am very computer literate, and I would like to someday tie my computer skills into a job that works within nature.
